OPES is a mobile application that transforms smartphones into active participants in a blockchain network. My challenge was to design an intuitive experience for running a "lightweight node" — allowing users to validate transactions and contribute to network security directly from their devices, despite technical constraints like limited processing power and storage. The final design demystifies node operation, making decentralized participation accessible to a mainstream audience. After 3 months of launching the design prototype and a running mvp, OPES secured $2M in seed funding to bring the application to market.
